| LETTER FROM THE PRINCIPAL Dear Walton High School Community, As we head into the Thanksgiving holiday, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our amazing Walton families. You are the reason our Walton High School thrives. Your dedication—whether through the countless hours you volunteer in our building, the enthusiastic cheering you bring to our events, or the unwavering support you provide at home plays a vital role in our students’ success. Thank you for your partnership with Walton, your energy, and your belief in our mission. I wish you and your families a warm, joyful, and restful Thanksgiving. With Raider Pride, Stephanie Santoro |

MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT As Thanksgiving approaches, let's take a moment to appreciate the incredible community we have built together. Thank you for your volunteering, donations, and unwavering support! A special recognition goes to the dedicated parents and family members who enhance our programs.
While our PTSA membership continues to grow, we are currently experiencing a decline, and we need your help to ensure this year is as successful as the last. If you haven't already, please join today!
Here are some highlights of your impactful contributions:
- We provided volunteers for Walton Counseling’s Junior Advisement sessions, helping our juniors and their parents stay on track for graduation. Great job, Class of 2027!
- Our fall Raider Pride Awards honored 94 outstanding students nominated by their teachers for exemplifying true Walton spirit. A big thank you to our team of volunteers who helped organize the event: Jennifer Sunderland, Anna Owens, Joy Allen, along with Mr. Pirkle from Admin. Special thanks to our speakers Pat Kay and Joanna Kay, and our announcer Anthony Foti for their contributions. Let’s keep celebrating our amazing students!
- The Bars and Letters event was a fantastic success! Congratulations to all who earned their awards; 250 bars and 450 letters were distributed. Thank you to Ramya Chintamaneni for organizing another great celebration.
- Our Attendance PPO, Front Office, and Copy Crew committees are essential to our community’s daily operations. Thank you to the parents who generously volunteer their time.
Looking ahead, we’re excited about upcoming events, including our Community Outreach Holiday Celebrations, Staff Holiday Luncheon, and the January General Meeting. Please check our website for opportunities to donate, volunteer, and connect.
Wishing you all a wonderful Thanksgiving!
With gratitude for your support, Clare Schueren, PTSA President |
WALTON HIGH SCHOOL FOUNDATION |
Capital Campaign Closes December 1 The Walton High School Foundation's Capital Campaign is in its final weeks, closing December 1st! Please consider contributing by donating at waltonhighschoolfoundation.org. Donations at or above $250 receive a mailbox bow and invitations to our quarterly coffee chats with the Principal. The next chat will be scheduled in December! And remember, senior families receive a sash adornment to highlight this special year.
We are thrilled to report more than 400 donations from the Raider community, but we do need more. The Foundation supports teacher salaries to reduce class sizes and improve the student experience. The campaign is the Foundation's major fundraising event and we hope these final weeks close in on our goal of raising $175,000.
For the 2025-2026 school year, the Foundation is pleased to support Walton faculty members Ashley Nickell and Anna Baughman. Ashley Nickell is a member of Walton English department, teaching 10th grade Literature and Composition, and 12th grade Advanced Composition. She sponsors Walton Public Speaking Club and co-sponsors GlamourGals, a community service group. Anna Baughman teaches 10th grade Government as a member of the Walton Social Studies department. As a newer faculty member, she reports Walton's Halloween traditions stand out, with broad-based participation and enjoyment.
The Walton Foundation hopes the Raider community enjoys our collage of fall events, highlighting our first coffee chat with Principal Santoro and the great efforts of the Student Leadership Council to support the Walton community. Between bow production and Powder Puff, the SLC has brought great energy and spirit to the community. And, as always, we are grateful to Principal Santoro and the Walton faculty for their commitment to Walton excellence! |
RAIDER PRIDE AWARDS Congratulations to the following students on being nominated for the Raider Pride Award! The Raider Pride Award is a high honor for Walton students, selected by teachers for consistently exhibiting good character, integrity, and kindness. |
