SUBJECT: Raider Review March 2026

March 2026
MESSAGE FROM PTSA

Hi Walton Community,

March is flying by as we move through an especially busy spring season and approach the end of the school year.

We are actively working to fill the ’26–’27 PTSA Executive Officer positions, preparing to celebrate our seniors at the Senior Picnic, planning for Teacher Appreciation Week, and much more. It’s an exciting time filled with opportunities for involvement and collaboration.

The Career Fair Committee, led by LeRuth Bell, hosted a successful event on March 18th during WEB. The Career Exploration & Summer Job Fair featured 30 career coaches, many of them Walton parents, along with representatives from the military and the Secret Service, and welcomed over 300 students. This event continues to be a valuable opportunity for students to explore career paths and begin developing networking skills. Thank you, LeRuth, for your leadership! A special shout out as well to Marlene Cohn, Lisa Richmond, and the student volunteers for donating their time.

We are calling on all student artists to help design the cover art for the school-wide agenda. The submission deadline is April 3. Please send entries to waltonpresident@gmail.com.

The Raider Pride Award reception was held on March 19. Thank you to parent volunteers Jennifer Sunderland and Vice President Courtney Morgan for organizing the event, and congratulations to all students who were recognized! This award honors students who consistently demonstrate character traits such as honesty, integrity, and kindness. All senior recipients are eligible to apply for the Raider Pride Scholarship.

We are currently accepting applications for the Walton PTSA Raider Pride and VoTech Scholarships through March 30th.

Please visit the PTSA website and check the weekly e-blasts for more information.

We wish everyone a wonderful Spring Break and look forward to seeing you at the April PTSA General Meeting on Monday, April 13th at 6pm.

Go Raiders!

Thanks to a wide range of student-led efforts and the generous support of the Walton community, the Walton High School chapter will be donating $15,000 toward this year’s homes. The 2026 project will include the construction of two new houses in Austell, beginning in late March and continuing through May. We are so proud of the work they are doing and grateful for their commitment to building stronger communities through service and teamwork.

Please continue to support their fundraising efforts. Senior families can buy yard signs to congratulate the hard work of their graduating senior students! CLICK HERE to order your sign today!
