Walton PTSA Communications
The Walton PTSA utilizes several forms of communication to keep its parents, students, faculty, and community informed and engaged. These include:
E-Blasts are emailed on Sunday evenings and contain pertinent and timely information from PTSA, Foundation, Walton athletics, clubs, and administration.
Join PTSA now in order to receive the weekly emails. If you wish to submit an announcement for inclusion, email a 3-line announcement with a graphic to waltoneblast@gmail.com by Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Please include a link to a website, email address, or an attachment for lengthy submissions.
Raider Review is our monthly e-newsletter that “Inspires and Applauds,” containing stories to highlight our students, clubs, teams, and organizations, as well as other accomplishments. Have good news to share? Email your article, a summary of the event, congratulations, etc. to waltonvpcommunications@gmail.com by the end of the month.
Social Media: Information about school events and opportunities is shared via Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. To share something on social media, email information to waltonptsasocialmedia@gmail.com. Facebook postings are updated daily, and each item is only posted one time. Sports scores and Walton-sponsored clubs and events can be posted on Facebook. Personal postings, advertising for business, or discussion threads are not appropriate. Twitter messages will be sent on an as-needed basis and will include short messages pertinent to the Walton community.
PTSA’s Student Directory can be accessed automatically once you Join PTSA. The online directory lists all who have signed up to be included. You may opt to not appear in the directory as well.
Student Agendas are provided for each student with PTSA funds. This planning and organizing tool also includes Walton's guidelines, rules, and expectations for students. Agendas are also utilized as a hall pass. A limited number of replacement agendas are available for $10 in the School Counseling Office.
Walton Calendar: All PTSA, Foundation, school, and athletic events can be found on the Walton website. PTSA-specific events are color-coded in yellow under the Categories button.
Walton Outdoor Sign: The digital sign in front of the school highlights important events and announcements.
Website: PTSA sponsors the WHS website and manages the PTSA website to keep parents informed and involved.
Walton TV: The daily announcements at school are shown on TVs throughout the school. To share on Walton TV, create a landscape slide (PowerPoint or jpeg) including your event name, date, time, location, benefit, and the dates to be shared. Bullet points are fine. Email waltonhsnews@gmail.com
Walton Morning Messages: The daily announcements at school are usually conducted during first period. To share a message, email 2 lines describing your event, date, time, and location, as well as the start and end dates for the message to waltonhsnews@gmail.com.
Bulletin Boards located outside the teacher lunchroom are an ideal place for posters, signs, and other advertisements, both short and long-term. Please email your poster/idea to waltonvpcommunications@gmail.com.
