TRAFFIC FLOW

We strongly encourage all students to ride the bus.  If you are planning to drop your child off or pick them up in carpool, please make sure you follow all proper traffic patterns.  Students are to be picked up or dropped off in the carpool line in front of the school ONLY!

Student safety is our top priority, and adherence to the following is crucial to efficient traffic movement.

During morning drop-off, there are two lanes of moving traffic for dropping off students.

During afternoon pick-up, only the right lane should be utilized for picking up students, while the left lane should be for moving traffic.  If you are waiting for a student, wait in the right lane.  The left lane should be used for moving traffic only.  Please be courteous and let out cars that are leaving the parking lot.

Please do not enter the parking lots along the softball field or the bus lanes (back of school). Parents entering these areas will not be permitted to drop students off. The parking lot along softball drive is reserved for students and staff and should NOT be used for drop-off or pick-up. The bus lanes are reserved for school buses from 7:30-8:30am and 2:30-4:00pm.  Please do not plan to enter, pick up, or drop off in the bus lanes during these times.  Traffic around the Walton campus is heavy before school. Please plan accordingly to ensure your child arrives on time for class!

WALTON WEB

At Walton High School, we believe that finding innovative ways to educate students should be an endless journey. On most five-day school weeks, students are dismissed for WEB at 12:35 pm from their regular schedule. Students determine, based on a variety of available activities, how they will spend the remainder of the day. The afternoon consists of four 25-minute blocks that students can sign up to attend. Enrichment activities may include tutoring time with teachers, community service, research in the media center, make-up work, SAT prep, guest speakers, and other opportunities that will benefit students.

Check back for the 2025-26 WEB dates.
